Job summary

1011 United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Lead to manage multiple teams across systems, infrastructure, DevOps and release management on an onsite/offshore model. You will own end-to-end delivery from pre-project through post-go-live support and coordinate with business stakeholders, architects and governance forums.

Ideal candidates have 12–15 years of delivery experience, strong Java background, and proven ability to coach teams, manage budgets, and lead multiple

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise apps.

Job Description

The incumbent is responsible to lead and manage multiple teams (System Analysts, Infrastructure, DevOps, release management, Technical Delivery) on an onsite, off-shore model to build, enhancesaid application to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be accountable for end-to-end delivery from pre-project to post-go live support

• Be responsible for leading multiple delivery streams to deliver successful project outcomes

• Plan, track and manage budgets & resources

• Vendor management - SOW's, budgets, invoice approvals , resource onboarding /offboarding and governance through regular governance meetings

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to team

• Partner with business stakeholders, architects to understand business requirements and technical design

• Plan, manage, track delivery through a combination of agile tools and traditional planning tools where required to ensure overall delivery across all streams are sequenced and tracked

• Ensure risks are pro-actively managed and highlighted in right forums to seek support for resolution

• Deliver project in guidance and adherence to Bank's architecture, software delivery, security, release management standard & guidelines.

• Ensure all deliverables, checkpoints are planned and delivered to meet the bank's standards and quality gates

• Pro-actively plan development dependencies and plan and track them to closure

• Ensure quality standards are built into the development phase with a quality first approach

• Measure and monitor progress and quality using data oriented approach

• Participate in scrum of scrums and cross stream meetings to discuss, highlight dependencies across systems.

• Conduct regular checkpoints ( daily scrum's , weekly project meetings) and track actions to closure

• Put in change management processes to manage and deliver agreed business outcomes

• During test phases, actively drive defect fixes to meet SLA's. measure and manage defect density, re-open rates

• Promote a culture of inclusiveness and have active participation from the team during team meetings and standups.

• Identify areas of improvement from each sprint and work towards continuous improvement to improve sprint velocity and quality

Key Requirements

• At least 12-15 yrs experience with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects

• Should have had at least 5 years experience in managing large-scale projects & building applications from scratch using API's and micro services and leading multiple streams

• Should have a strong Java development background and the right level of experience and expertise to coach, plan and deliver complex applications

• 5+ years' experience on design, development and implementation of applications using micro services

• Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines

• Highly effective communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient communicating with non-technical stakeholders

• Strong team player able to rally multiple teams towards common objective.

• Good networking, problem solving, analytical, system thinking and solutioning skills.

• Should have prior experience in managing virtual teams in onsite/offshore model

• Own overall delivery and drive teams velocity

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Prior experience in Banking applications (customer facing – client onboarding or middleware payment processing systems) is a plus
