About The Department

UOB Private Bank is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5million and above. Keeping in mind our clients\' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group\'s comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.

The Product Management Team sits under the Investment Products and Solutions organization. Operating at the intersection of client needs, market trends and regulatory frameworks, the team ensures Private Bank\'s product offerings remain competitive and compliant.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned and execution-focused Product Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle management of Unit Trusts and Alternative Investment products within our Private Banking platform. With 10-12 years of relevant experience, the ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) who enables platform readiness, ensures operational excellence, and drives cross-product initiatives aligned with the Private Bank\'s strategic goals. This role requires strong stakeholder management, operational rigor, and a growth mindset to embrace new domains and digital transformation. As a team-focused function, the role is expected to evolve and expand to include other product areas over time, offering opportunities for broader exposure and career growth.

  • End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee onboarding, implementation, maintenance, and review of unit trusts and alternative funds.
    • Partner with the Managed Product Solutions team to enable platform readiness for new fund offerings, ensuring systems, documentation, product governance and operational matters are in order.
  • Platform Enablement & Operational Execution
    • Ensure seamless integration of products into the Private Banking platform by coordinating with IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and external fund providers.
    • Maintain high operational standards and proactively resolve issues to support platform scalability and stability.
  • Product Governance & Risk Oversight
    • Lead product governance processes including risk rating reviews, provider due diligence, and suitability assessments.
    • Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance frameworks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Sales Support
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Unit Trusts and Alternatives, supporting client advisors with product-related queries, training, and materials.
    • Build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external counterparties.
  • Cross-Product Project Leadership
    • Drive strategic initiatives and projects that span across multiple product classes to deliver holistic solutions aligned with Private Banking strategy.
    • Contribute to product platform enhancements, governance forums, and cross-functional working groups.
  • Digital Enhancements & Innovation
    • Partner with digital and technology teams to improve product workflows, automate processes, and enhance client and advisor interfaces.
    • Support platform upgrades and contribute to digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10-12 years of experience in product management for Unit Trusts and/or Alternative Investments within private banking or wealth management.
  • Deep understanding of fund structures, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks across traditional and alternative asset classes.
  • Strong operational capabilities with experience in platform enablement and product implementation.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-product initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Well-versed in legal and compliance documentation for investment products in private banking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborative and client-focused.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; VBA knowledge is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates a strong appetite for challenges and continuous learning, especially in new product domains and digital capabilities.
  • Experience in digital product development and platform enhancements is a plus.
