Job description

Their investment philosophy centers on building long-term partnerships with business owners, supporting succession planning, driving operational value creation, and scaling high-potential companies across the region. They take a hands‑on, collaborative approach with our portfolio companies and pride ourselves on sourcing high-quality proprietary opportunities.

Currently seeking a Vice President, Private Equity Investment to join the investment team. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, commercially astute, and highly effective in cultivating trusted relationships with founders, advisors, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Sourcing & Origination
  • Lead proactive, proprietary deal sourcing across Southeast Asia and other core Asian markets.
  • Develop and maintain strong networks with business owners, founders, industry executives, advisors, bankers, and family offices.
  • Identify industry themes, map target sectors, and generate high-conviction investment ideas.
  • Drive the firm’s business-development efforts, including building new strategic partnerships and managing long‑term sourcing channels.
2. Transaction Execution
  • Lead execution of buyout and growth investments from initial evaluation through closing.
  • Manage due diligence workstreams (commercial, financial, operational, legal).
  • Build detailed operating models, valuation analyses, and investment cases.
  • Prepare high‑quality investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel, advisors, and internal teams throughout the deal process.
3. Portfolio Management & Value Creation
  • Support value creation initiatives in portfolio companies through strategic planning, performance tracking, and operational improvement projects.
  • Work closely with founders/CEOs to drive growth, implement governance structures, and prepare for eventual exit.
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs, actively identifying risks and opportunities.
4. Relationship Management & Strategic Partnerships
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador of the firm within the business community.
  • Cultivate deep, long‑term relationships with business owners and senior executives.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem engagements.
  • Support fundraising and investor relations activities when required.
Requirements
  • BA/BS with strong academic qualifications.
  • At least 6-10 years of working experience at a leading investment bank or in the Private Equity industry
  • Strong track record in executing mid-market M&A transactions; buyout experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate or contribute meaningfully to proprietary deal flow.
  • Experience engaging directly with founders, family-owned businesses, or entrepreneur-led companies.
