The Japan Research Institute (JRI) Limited is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Group. JRI Singapore currently supports the overall IT functions of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in Asia Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design of digital workplace technologies, including endpoint management, unified communication, identity and access management (SSO), collaboration tools and Treasury trading platforms.
- Develop and maintain EUC technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business strategies and regulatory requirements.
- Establish architecture standards, best practices and design patterns for EUC solutions. Ensure all platform architecture adheres to and comply with bank’s system risk management standards and banking regulatory requirements across APAC locations.
- Collaborate closely with and analyze business user demands and translate into system requirements, and work as part of the project team to deliver the target solutions to all related stakeholders and contribute the successful delivery of the initiatives for the following project initiatives.
- M365 regionalization and standardization
- Digital Workplace Modernization and Standardization
- Secure Internet Gateway and Zero Trust Remote Access Solution
- Regional Voice Platform and associated compliance recording platforms.
- Regional Trader Platform.
- Lead research and proof of concept initiatives for emerging EUC technologies (cloud, collaboration, virtual desktop, endpoint security, etc.).
- Champion continuous architectural review and improvement, to modernize and update standards to meet evolving business, technology and regulatory landscapes and requirements.
- Facilitate seamless integration of endpoints with other systems, serve as key technical stakeholder for major project designs, and vendor evaluations (RFPs/RFIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent with 10+ years of experience in end user technology domains within large-scale, regulated environments (Preferably banking and financial services).
- Prior working experience in multi-national banking company and solid understanding of MAS regulations is advantageous.
- Strong background in architecture design for digital workplace, collaboration, endpoint and security platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365, VDI, Zero Trust Security Platform, SSO, Modern Authentication, CUCM, IPC, Secure Remote Access, etc.).
- Strong technical skills and knowledge related to SSO (Entra ID, OKTA, Modern Auth) configuration and integration with other domain system.
- Have in-depth knowledge of cloud services such as Office 365, Google Workspace and Cloud SASE solutions (e.g. Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco) and be able to utilize them effectively, and intimate knowledge of internet access security to ensure proper operation and maintenance of hybrid on-premise and cloud security environment setups.
- Demonstrable delivery of robust, secure and scalable EUC solutions supporting business as usual operations and transformation projects, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to schedules and deadlines, working in a fast paced environment.
- Strong analytical and solution design skills with excellent communication skills to convey complex technical ideas to different levels of audiences and the ability to effectively communicate at working level to efficiently solve issues and respond to requests.
- Have a strong cross team collaboration mindset and influence on technology strategy.
