Job summary

Maybank in Singapore seeks an experienced Operational Risk Leader to implement the Bank's risk framework and strengthen resilience across the organisation.

You will lead RCSA, KRI, incident management, and data collection while adapting policies to local regulatory needs. The role requires senior stakeholder engagement and oversight of outsourcing risks within a complex banking environment.

Qualifications

• . Professional qualification or Degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Risk Management or a related discipline.
• . At least 10 years of relevant experience in operational risk management, business continuity management or a related role.
• . Strong understanding of banking businesses and operations, including Retail and Corporate Banking.
• . Sound knowledge of operational risk, business continuity, outsourcing and third-party risk management.
• . Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• . Good presentation, communication, analytical and advisory skills.
• . Ability to balance effective risk management and controls with business needs.
• . Able to work effectively in a changing, complex and multifaceted environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicators (KRI), incident management and data collection requirements.
• Adapt Group operational risk and business continuity policies to meet local regulatory and business requirements.
• Provide independent risk oversight and advice on new products, processes, systems, outsourcing arrangements and third-party risks.
• Review and challenge risk assessments, control testing, risk profiles and operational risk incidents.
• Lead bank-wide business continuity planning, testing, training and crisis preparedness initiatives.
• Prepare timely operational risk, loss, KRI and outsourcing reports for Management.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, audits and inspections relating to operational risk, business continuity and outsourcing.
• Conduct training and awareness programmes to strengthen the Bank’s risk culture.
• Participate in relevant banking industry committees and promote industry best practices.
