Overview

Title: VP Infrastructure (Global South)

Vice President, Infrastructure

Location: Global South (Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific) – Extensive travel required

These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

Summary

KBR seeks a visionary and strategic Vice President of Infrastructure to lead and expand our infrastructure portfolio across the Global South, excluding the UK and Americas. This executive role will drive growth in civil and nuclear infrastructure programs, ensuring operational excellence, governance, and alignment with regional development priorities. The VP will serve as a trusted advisor to governments and private sector partners, shaping transformative projects that advance sustainable infrastructure and energy security in emerging markets.

Responsibilities
  • Global South Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and execute infrastructure strategies tailored to the unique needs of the Global South, focusing on Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. Additional regions will also be included.
    • Identify and secure high-value opportunities in civil and nuclear sectors, including transportation, energy, and water systems.
    • Build strategic alliances with governments, multilateral agencies, and private investors to position KBR as a partner of choice for infrastructure modernization.
    • Provide thought leadership on regional trends, regulatory environments, and socio-economic drivers impacting infrastructure development.
  • Civil Infrastructure Oversight
    • Lead delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure programs such as transportation networks, urban development, and water systems.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards for quality, safety, and sustainability.
    • Implement best-in-class project controls, risk management, and governance frameworks across all civil projects.
  • Nuclear Infrastructure Leadership
    • Program Development: Drive planning and execution of civil nuclear infrastructure projects, including power generation facilities, fuel cycle facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to IAEA standards, local nuclear regulatory frameworks, and global safety protocols.
    • Safety & Security: Establish robust nuclear safety management systems, emergency preparedness plans, and cybersecurity measures for nuclear facilities.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, nuclear regulators, and international bodies to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
    • Supply Chain & Technology: Oversee procurement strategies for nuclear-grade materials and technologies, ensuring integrity and traceability.
    • Workforce Development: Champion training and certification programs for nuclear safety, operations, and maintenance personnel.
    • Innovation & Sustainability: Promote advanced nuclear technologies (e.g., Small Modular Reactors) and integrate sustainability principles into nuclear infrastructure planning.
  • 4. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with government ministries, regulators, and private sector leaders across the Global South.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor on infrastructure trends, energy transition, and nuclear development strategies.
  • 5. Organizational Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team across multiple geographies.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability aligned with KBR’s OneKBR philosophy.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure delivery, with at least 10 years in executive leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in civil and nuclear infrastructure programs in emerging markets and leading business growth.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and geopolitical dynamics in the Global South.
  • Strong relationships with clients and government officials
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or nuclear safety credentials are highly desirable.
  • Experience throughout the Globe, not just the Global South.
  • Experience with advisory or consultancy
