The VP Corporate Development is a senior cross‑functional role responsible for supporting the Group’s capital raising efforts, driving M&A activities across Asia, building institutional and strategic investor relationships, and supporting priority strategic initiatives across the business.

This role will collaborate closely with the CEO, Managing Director, Group COO/CFO and department heads to execute key growth initiatives, prepare the organisation for Series B and beyond, and drive long‑term enterprise value creation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Capital Raise Support & Investor Relations
  • Own and manage the end‑to‑end investor relationship pipeline, including current and prospective investors.

  • Continuously engage with downstream institutional investors (VC, growth equity, family offices, strategic corporates) to build long‑term relationships.

  • Prepare and send monthly or quarterly investor updates to maintain engagement and transparency.

  • Lead the development of pitch materials, fundraising collateral, data room preparation and narrative‑building for Series B and future rounds.

  • Support the CEO, MD and Group COO/CFO throughout the fundraising process, including due diligence, Q&A management, investor outreach, and financial review.

  • Support debt capital raising, including lender outreach, model support, documentation preparation, and process management.

2. M&A Support Across Target Promoters in Asia
  • Work with the executive team to identify, assess, prioritise, and build relationships with target promoters, venues, and strategic acquisition candidates across APAC.

  • Lead early assessment work, including opportunity screening, commercial fit evaluation, synergy mapping, and building rapport with founder‑operators.

  • Collaborate with the Group COO/CFO to build financial models, valuation scenarios, and investment papers for each deal.

  • Drive and coordinate end‑to‑end M&A processes, including:

    • structuring
    • diligence management
    • stakeholder alignment
    • deal timeline orchestration
    • negotiation support
  • Support post‑acquisition integration across strategy, governance, reporting, staffing, and business planning to ensure a successful onboarding of new partners.

3. Strategy Support & Cross-Functional Enablement
  • Support and/or lead priority strategic initiatives as directed by the CEO, MD, and Group COO/CFO.

  • Maintain regular alignment discussions with the executive team to determine shifting priorities and focus areas across the business.

  • Work with department heads across Talent, Production, Marketing, Finance, and Partnerships to surface operational, commercial, or strategic challenges—and help structure solutions.

  • Drive cross‑functional execution on strategic projects, ensuring momentum, clarity, and alignment across teams.

  • Prepare executive‑level materials, business cases, frameworks, and board/investor documents.

4. Corporate Development, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development
  • Drive select strategic initiatives that unlock new revenue opportunities, new market entry, or new capabilities for the Group.

  • Support business development activities, including:

    • identifying new strategic partners
    • facilitating introductions with promoters, talent reps, platforms, sponsors, and other ecosystem players
    • expanding corporate, government, and industry relationships
  • Bring relevant external stakeholders—candidates, advisors, promoters, talent representatives, brands, agencies, technology partners—into the organisation to support ongoing growth initiatives.

  • Support development of long‑term growth roadmaps and execution plans.

5. Additional Responsibilities (As Required)
  • Provide analytical, strategic or operational support for emerging business needs.

  • Assist with preparation of internal frameworks, dashboards, board materials, or investor memos.

  • Step in on cross‑functional or time‑sensitive tasks that require rapid problem‑solving and structured thinking.
