Responsibilities

Visiting Consultants are appointed in their area of expertise to teach, impart skills in their clinical domain knowledge and to provide consultation, professional advice and clinical services needed by the Department.

Qualifications
  • Be in active clinical practice;
  • Possess a basic medical degree from an accredited medical university or medical school;
  • Postgraduate qualification relevant to the department’s specialty or nature of operations; and
  • Must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council and must be accredited as Specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Ministry of Health
