Overview

Working for a large financial institution, you will be the trusted subject matter expert, responsible for architecting, optimizing, and safeguarding our extensive Virtualization estate—a foundation that supports everything from real-time trading and digital banking to regulatory compliance and data analytics. Your architectural decisions will ensure that our virtualized infrastructure not only meets the extreme demands of today's financial services.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect implementation and migration strategies across enterprise environments.
• Lead technical assessments, gap analysis, and readiness evaluations for target infrastructure.
• Define migration workflows, automation scripts, rollback plans, and validation checkpoints.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership during pilot, testing, and production migration phases.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, downtime, and compliance.
• Act as a key escalation point for technical issues during migration execution.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in virtualization technologies, with deep expertise in both VMware vSphere and Hypervisor both on windows and linux environments
• Proven track record in designing and executing large-scale implementation / migration projects in enterprise or financial environments.
• Strong understanding of storage, networking, and compute dependencies in virtualized ecosystems.
• Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning in virtual environments.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and post-migration optimization.
• Relevant certifications in Vmware
