Job summary

MAVEN POTTER LLP is seeking a creative Videographer to lead projects from concept to final cut, with strong conceptual thinking, technical mastery, and the ability to run shoots independently in studio or on location.

You will direct on-screen talent, collaborate with producers and editors, and edit selected projects to ensure cohesive storytelling across short-form formats for social platforms.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional videography experience with a relevant portfolio.
• Proven ability to lead shoots from pre-production to post-production hand-over.
• Technically confident with professional camera systems, lighting setups, and audio equipment.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro; colour grading, audio mixing and motion graphics skills are advantageous.
• Strong visual storytelling for short-form/social-first content.
• Up-to-date with IG Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts formats.
• Clear communicator and strong collaborator, can work independently.
• Organised, proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment.
• Comfortable with non-standard hours and on-location or overseas shoots.
• Diploma or degree in Film/Media Production; relevant experience carries weight.

About the Role

We are seeking a creative Videographer who can confidently lead projects from concept through to final cut. This requires strongconceptual thinking, technical mastery, and the ability to run shoots independently — whether in a controlled studio environment or a fast-paced, run-and-gun setting.

You are confident directing on-screen talent and making real-time decisions that keep production on track. At the same time, you collaborate seamlessly with producers and editors to translate creative ideas into cohesive visual outcomes.

Beyond strong camera craft, you are a visual storyteller who shoots with intention, adapts swiftly to evolving conditions, and delivers footage optimised for post-production. You will also step in to edit selected projects, ensuring continuity in storytelling, pacing and overall execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate creative briefs into compelling and executable visual concepts
• Collaborate with producers to shape platform-relevant narratives aligned with brand tone and visual identity
• Lead all aspects of production – camera, lighting, sound, crew and logistics – across different shoot environments
• Apply strong visual judgement and quick thinking to capture high-quality footage under varied conditions
• Direct talent and troubleshoot on-set challenges to ensure smooth execution
• Deliver organised footage with clear post-production handovers, including references and editorial notes
• Editor supervise edits in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, with attention to storytelling, pacing and platform-native formats (Reels, TikTok, Shorts, 16:9,etc.)

Requirements

• 2 - 3 years of professional videography experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates both craft and content relevance; fresh graduates with an aptitude for videography will also be considered.
• Proven ability to lead shoots from pre-production planning through to post-production hand-over
• Technically confident with professional camera systems, lighting setups, and audio equipment
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro; colour grading, audio mixing and motion graphics skills are advantageous
• Strong visual storytelling instincts, especially for short-form and social-first content
• Up to date with trends and native formats across IG Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
• A clear communicator and strong collaborator who can also work independently
• Organised, proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable with non-standard hours (evenings/weekends) and on-location or occasional overseas shoots
• Diploma or degree in Film, Media Production or a related field preferred (relevant experience carries significant weight)
