Job description

The Video Producer reports to the Head of Production. This is a hybrid role that combines end-to-end production management with strong hands-on filming capabilities. You will plan, organise, and execute video projects—ranging from government communications, corporate storytelling, social content, interviews, and campaign videos—while ensuring smooth coordination across creative, production, and post-production teams. This role is ideal for someone who can balance creative problem-solving with operational discipline, and enjoys being both a planner and a shooter.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Project Management
  • Manage video projects from brief to final delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Liaise with clients, account managers, and internal creative leads to understand objectives and translate them into clear production plans.
  • Conduct location recces, prepare risk assessments, secure permits, and manage logistics.
  • Develop production schedules, call sheets, shot lists, and story outlines.
2. Filming & Technical Execution
  • Operate cameras, audio equipment, lighting setups, and stabilisers during shoots.
  • Capture high-quality footage across interviews, events, narrative content, and campaign videos.
  • Direct on-site crew and talents to achieve desired creative outcomes.
3. Producing & Creative Support
  • Work closely with Creative Directors and Designers to ensure visuals align with the campaign’s creative direction.
  • Provide creative input during pre-production—including scripting, storyboarding, and moodboarding.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges with resourceful, solutions-oriented thinking.
4. Post-Production Coordination
  • Brief editors and motion designers on project requirements.
  • Review rough cuts and give creative and technical feedback for refinement.
  • Ensure final deliverables meet client expectations and brand guidelines.
5. Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients during production phases.
  • Manage expectations through clear communication and timely updates.
  • Ensure smooth coordination across internal departments and external vendors.
