Job summary

Cantina Labs invites outstanding ML interns to join its Singapore research lab for a three-month onsite internship, starting October 2026. You will work on next-generation video models with a senior mentor, tackling well-defined research or engineering problems from formulation to experimentation and potential conference submission.

You’ll contribute to post-training efficiency, reward modeling, multimodal data systems, or scalable video-model training infrastructure, with ownership of your core

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• Experience building data pipelines, ML infrastructure, or distributed systems through research, coursework, open-source contributions, or internships.
• Familiar with Ray, PySpark, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent technologies.
• Proficient in Python and building reliable systems for large-scale ML.

Responsibilities

• Develop reward models to improve aesthetics, motion quality, temporal consistency, and prompt adherence.
• Study base-model behavior to inform model development through experiments.
• Design rigorous evaluations and large-scale experiments for generative video models.
• Build data pipelines for ingesting, preprocessing, curating, and delivering video datasets.
• Develop distributed pipelines for dataset generation, deduplication, and preprocessing.
• Improve reliability and efficiency of data and model-training workflows.
• Build tooling for video and multimodal data using FFmpeg, PyAV, DALI, or OpenCV.
• Document findings and contribute to research reports or conference submissions.
