Job summary

Bestfoody is seeking a Video Editor / Storyteller for freelance or full-time projects to shape raw footage into compelling narratives about food culture. You will craft story-driven edits, manage narrative pacing, and polish visuals with color, audio, and captions.

On-location shoots or remote work may be considered for the right candidate. Required portfolio of story-based videos, fluency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro, and strong interview pacing.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio of story-based videos, mini-docs, or narrative short-form content.
• Clear understanding of constructing stories and pacing for audience retention.
• Ability to craft engaging narratives from raw footage and interviews.

Responsibilities

• Craft Story-Driven Edits: Turn raw footage, interview clips, and B-roll into cohesive, fast-paced, and emotionally resonant video stories.
• Narrative & Audio Pacing: Structure clear story arcs, edit interview audio for clarity and flow, and layer ambient sound and music to build mood.
• Visual Polish: Apply appetizing color grading, clean audio mixing, dynamic captions, and subtle motion graphics to maximize retention.

If you know how to shape raw, unscripted footage into compelling narrative arcs that hook viewers emotionally and keep them watching, we want to work with you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Craft Story-Driven Edits:Turn raw footage, interview clips, and B-roll into cohesive, fast-paced, and emotionally resonant video stories.

• Narrative & Audio Pacing:Structure clear story arcs, edit interview audio for clarity and flow, and layer ambient sound and music to build mood.

• Visual Polish:Apply appetizing color grading, clean audio mixing, dynamic captions, and subtle motion graphics to maximize retention.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong portfolio of story-based videos, mini-docs, or narrative short-form content.

• Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.

• Deep understanding of interview pacing—knowing what to keep, what to trim, and how to build a narrative.

• Strong Plus Point:Ability to conduct on-camera or off-camera interviews, or step in with videography and shooting on location.
