About the Role:

We’re looking for a Video Editor who is not only technically skilled, but also highly adaptable and creatively attuned to evolving industry trends. At Chun Tsubaki, you'll work on diverse projects—from food and lifestyle brand campaigns to social media reels and polished commercial spots.

You'll be responsible for crafting strong narrative edits, color grading, motion graphics, and sound design—while staying on top of the latest editing trends and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit a wide range of video content (short‑form social media, ads, branded content).
  • Execute advanced masking, tracking, and compositing in After Effects.
  • Perform color grading in DaVinci Resolve (or similar grading tools) to deliver polished, consistent looks.
  • Source and license appropriate music and sound effects, ensuring high‑quality audio design.
  • Maintain project organization and deliver final exports in required formats.
  • Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and clients to refine vision and meet briefs.
  • Stay updated on editing trends, social‑first formats, and new post‑production techniques.
  • Contribute creative ideas to elevate storytelling and visual quality.
What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects (masking, tracking, motion design).
  • Skilled in DaVinci Resolve (or other pro‑level grading tools) for color correction and grading.
  • Strong command of Premiere Pro / Final Cut / other NLEs.
  • Solid understanding of sound design, soundtrack sourcing, and rights/licensing.
  • Highly adaptable, with a pulse on editing styles, social media trends, and platform formats.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to visual storytelling.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with food, lifestyle, or hospitality content.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted editing tools.
  • Motion graphics design skills beyond basics.
