Job description

This full-time role will be as a Video Editor and videographer within our boutique ad agency. You will primarily be responsible for creating and shooting videos.

As part of this role, you will also be required to contribute towards conceptualization, filming as well as motion graphics and video production.

This role requires a committed and responsible person who is able to work independently as this is a new requirement within the agency.

You will create and edit motion graphics using a variety of software listed (but not limited to) below:

Responsibilities

You will need to have knowledge and experience in filming techniques and interview/voxpop-based filming as well as procure production equipment including cameras, audio, video recorders, lighting equipment, and microphones for location and studio use.

You will work closely with the Team in order to deliver creative and original ideas for our clients.

You will perform technical duties in the production of web-based video and audio projects, video streaming, and other multimedia productions.

Some include:

• Create models, drawings, and illustrations by hand or electronically
• Join images with background graphics and special effects
• Ensure synchronization of frames and audio
• Handle all editing processes
• Collaborate with creatives (designers, art directors, etc.)
• Design and develop multimedia-based layouts, graphics, animation, video, for social and other multimedia productions
• Perform technical duties in the production of web-based video and audio projects, video streaming, and other multimedia productions
• Troubleshoot, test, and analyze technical problem and determine solutions
• Work collaboratively with the social content manager, web developers, content writers to develop creative multimedia materials for websites and social posts

Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and InDesign).
• Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
• Advanced video streaming and animation.
• Advanced graphic design skills.
• Video and audio editing software including Final Cut Studio and Adobe After Effects (Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, Compressor)
• Previous experience in the same capacity in a production house/agency will be a prerequisite.
