Vice President, Research and Development (R&D) - AI

We are seeking a visionary VP of R&D to lead our AI‑driven product innovation and build a high-performance R&D organization. This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced builder who can transform ideas into deployment‑ready products while driving our long‑term technology roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Strategy and Innovation – Define and execute the R&D strategy that drives company growth and innovation. Stay ahead of industry trends, identify new opportunities and maintain our competitive edge through creative problem‑solving and forward thinking.
• Build and Develop Teams – Lead, mentor and grow a world‑class R&D team, recruit top talent, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation and demonstrate patient, ego‑free leadership that brings out the best in people.
• Budget and Resource Management – Develop and manage the R&D budget, allocate resources and ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.
• Drive Product Excellence – Oversee end‑to‑end product development from concept to deployment across software and AI technologies. Ensure rigorous testing, refinement and polishing deliver field‑ready, high‑quality products.
• Enable Cross‑Functional Success – Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and other departments to ensure product‑market fit and commercial success.
• Innovation and Market Awareness – Stay current on industry trends, technological advancements and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Demonstrate creative problem‑solving by finding workarounds, exploring alternative approaches and proposing new ideas to overcome challenges and keep innovation moving forward.
• Manage Resources and Performance – Develop and manage the R&D budget, allocate resources effectively and ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements and KPIs.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive R&D leadership including VP or Head of R&D experience with hands‑on product development.
• Deep technical expertise in AI, data platforms or related fields with strong product development knowledge.
• Hands‑on technical capabilities including scripting and development for product feature localization.
• Proven leadership ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
