Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Product Positioning & Segmentation- Define and execute HSBC Life’s product proposition strategies across customer segments, product lines and distribution channels. Monitor global and regional competitor trends to ensure propositions remain market-leading and relevant
  • Differentiation & Proposition Development- Craft innovative, client-centric propositions and positioning for our products and drive the propagation of these propositions leveraging on HSBC’s global wealth platform, technical expertise, and international brand. Clearly differentiate HSBC Life’s offerings versus competitors, with tailored positioning and messaging by channel
  • Partner across product development, pricing, actuarial, reinsurance, channels, marketing and training teams to deliver best-in-class product proposition
  • Establish close collaboration with both internal and external distribution partners to refine and enhance product proposition and solutions. Build strong feedback loops with distribution channels to enable product sales effectiveness and capture intelligence and insights for new product innovation
  • Distribution & Stakeholder engagement – Partner closely with product, distribution channel, training, customer and marketing teams to craft, design initiatives that enhance the product positioning across different product lines, customer needs and channels including tailoring the presentations/positioning, sales messaging to empower distribution partners in engaging partners and clients, positioning HSBC life as insurer of choice
Requirements

To be successful you will need:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred
  • Strong experience in life insurance, with strong focus on HNW propositions, product positioning, and distribution strategy
  • Actuarial or technical expertise in product design strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of client needs in Singapore and across Asia, particularly around wealth transfer, legacy planning, and cross-border structuring
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging private bankers, wealth advisors, and senior executives
  • Strategic mindset with operational excellence in product go-to-market leadership
