In this role you will:

• Lead and support product managers by providing governance expertise in the product approval process. Oversees and update product SOPs to ensure compliance and market relevance in Singapore. Partner with local and global teams to ensure governance standards are met aligning to local product strategies and development process.
• Design, implement and lead the regular post launch product reviews and performance against key metrics in accordance with HSBC product governance, to ensure compliance of insurance product management procedures.
• Coordinate and manage HSBC and regulatory inspections for product and monitor until completion, ensuring adherence to MAS regulations, HSBC Group policies, and risk frameworks.
• Drive and execute the implementation of HSBC and regulatory initiatives, reviews and ad‑hoc projects assigned to Product, include but not limited to product changes, HSBC and regulatory changes.
• Partner closely with product manager and manage end‑to‑end product development for the launch of life insurance products and conduct market gap and competitor benchmarking analysis, if required.
• Manage Product Committee meetings and governance reporting assigned to Product. Prepare product update required by management committees and the Board, coordinate for review until submission.
• Present governance updates, review outcomes, and risk mitigation plans to senior management committees for oversight.

To be successful you will need:

• Degree in Business, Finance, Actuarial, or a related field.
• Strong experience within the life insurance industry, with significant exposure to product development, product governance, or product risk & compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore insurance regulations and governance requirements. Proven ability to manage complex insurance approval processes and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to robust risk management and control.
