Job description
Job Responsibilities
  1. Accountable for profit before tax per budgeted by Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) and Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO), under the new Corporate Treasury Unit in Singapore. Manage risk effectively to maximize profit while ensuring risks are within allowable risk parameters. Provide guidance to junior dealers.
  2. Formulate and strategize business plan to achieve its profit target. Plan for strategic customer focus, strategize for competitive market environment and identify new source of revenues.
  3. Accountable for Maybank Group’s wholesale liquidity pricing to be managed efficiently to maximize Group NIM. Exercise prudent risk management and control. Review risk limits with MRM to ensure sufficient limits to support business strategy.
  4. Oversee the GCT Reserve Book business in terms of credit limits, bond exposure, new product papers, and rate strategies.
  5. Provide leadership to GM/GCT teams on HQLA holdings across the Group.
  6. Cultivate and maintain relationships with regulators and counterparty banks.
  7. Accountable to train talent for both Malaysia and OUs to meet current and future business demands.
Job Competencies
  • Proven track record in managing FX, interest rates and credit risks
  • Comprehensive understanding of all markets products including foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives and fixed income
  • Ability to build and maintain Business relationships
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Consistently good track record in the Treasury environment.
  • Knowledge of second derivative instruments and other sophisticated financial tools.
  • Full understanding of International and local market dynamics.
  • Understanding of markets operational processes and controls
  • Understanding of regulatory issues and controls
  • Negotiation skills;
