The role

As the new Vice President Capital Formation you will take on a pivotal role within a dynamic team of five professionals focused on Capital Formation and Business Development for APAC clients. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and advance investor dialogues with stakeholders across the Asia‑Pacific region. This will require close collaboration and effective communication with both investors and internal teams always ensuring a consistently high level of professionalism throughout the process. The role calls for a comprehensive understanding of CIP’s investment strategies and track records the firm’s organizational structure financial modeling ESG principles and the underlying investment opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with existing investors as part of both current and new CIP fund commitments
  • Build out the universe of investors with new investors ( e.g. present the fund strategies undertake due diligence with the support of CIP’s due diligence team structure side letter requirements including co‑investments etc.)
  • Undertaking fundraising dialogues and processes across CIP’s equity funds as well as CIP’s credit fund strategies.
  • Stakeholder management as part of fundraising due diligence processes requiring close collaboration with other teams in CIP (investment teams in particular).
  • Strategically own and lead a portfolio of institutional investor relationships
  • Drive investor engagement across multiple geographies with potential country or regional leadership responsibilities within 12‑18 months
You

We seek a driven collaborative individual with a M asters in F inance Economics or a related field from a reputable university and at least 8‑ 1 1 years of full‑time experience in a similar institutional or fundraising role within a financial institution .

Key qualifications
  • Exceptional communication skills in English with proficiency in other Asian languages considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience working in the APAC region preferably within Greater China Southeast Asia or Australia and New Zealand
  • Strong analytical abilities including advanced problem‑solving and project management capabilities
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with investors and internal teams both independently and collaboratively
  • Detail‑oriented organized and highly motivated with a focus on thoroughness in all aspects of work
  • Deep interest in fundraising for renewable energy projects and private equity with a positive approach to working in an international growth‑oriented environment
