Job summary

A wildlife conservation organization in Singapore is seeking a Veterinary Keeper (Quarantine) to ensure animal care and well-being. The ideal candidate will monitor animal behavior, maintain records, and collaborate with the team. O levels or a diploma in Life Sciences is required, alongside good communication skills and physical capability. Weekend and public holiday work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum O levels or Diploma holders (preferably in Life Sciences).
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Willing to work on Weekends, Evenings and Public Holidays.

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world‑renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature‑based experiences, green public spaces and an eco‑friendly resort.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for the care & well‑being of animals within the quarantine section.
  • Daily animal husbandry, servicing animal yard and holding area.
  • Assess animals daily to ensure that they are properly cared for and secured.
  • Observe animal behaviour, report abnormal behaviour patterns and provide technical advice to management and staff.
  • Follow quarantine protocols and biosecurity guidelines.
  • Follow treatment plans and preventive health programs as prescribed.
  • Participate in the capture and restraint of animals as directed by management.
  • Implement animal care procedures and policies, including record‑keeping.
  • Maintain supply inventories.
  • Update and maintain records on daily observations of animals.
Requirements
  • Minimum O levels or Diploma holders (preferably in Life Sciences).
  • Confident, outgoing personality and a team player.
  • Willing to work on Weekends, Evenings and Public Holidays.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and attention to details.
  • Able to lift heavy weights.
  • Possess Class 3 driving licence.
  • Have experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
