Job description
Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain the Vessel Traffic Information System (VTIS) hardware and software.
  • Perform regular system checks, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on all VTIS equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify technical faults to minimize system downtime.
  • Provide technical support to Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) operators during operations.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving communication or data transmission issues, managing servers, databases, system interfaces used for vessel tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure all systems comply with relevant national and international maritime regulations.
  • Ensure system reliability for maritime safety and emergency response operations.
Requirements
  • Experience in supporting Electrical/Electronic Engineering-related systems
  • Knowledge and experience in marine electronics, command, control systems, communication systems, and the deployment, servicing, and troubleshooting of networked Electronics, Communications, and Power systems will have an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
