Overview

One of our global ship owner clients is looking to hire an experienced Vessel Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate would have at least one to two years of experiences working as a chemical vessel operator.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure cargo transportation as per contract with efficient turnaround of vessel
  • Efficient stowage plan to optimize tank utilization, ensure compliance with regulations and procedures for vessel’s safe operation, and coordination with chartering
  • Prepare monthly, yearly and any other periodical results when required
  • Prepare and forward voyage instructions to vessel
  • Appoint agent and coordinate to ensure smooth turnaround
  • Monitor B/L status, issuance, chase, and collection for cargo release
  • Ensure sufficient bunker on board
  • Input operational data in System
  • Maintain close relationship with Charterers and Brokers
  • Coordinate with vessel master / manager in the event of a marine incident
  • Report and coordinate claims including cargo shortage/contamination
  • Conduct vessel visits to improve rapport with officers/crew and provide feedback from observations on board
Requirements
  • Minimum Degree (With Maritime preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; candidates with chemical tanker experience are preferred, otherwise tanker experience
  • Driven, self-starter and a good communicator
