Job summary

A maritime operations company in Singapore seeks an experienced individual to manage vessel operations. The role involves coordinating with managers and charterers, monitoring compliance and performances, and overseeing voyage expenses. Candidates should have a relevant diploma/degree and 3–5 years of shipping operations experience, with knowledge of voyage planning and bunker coordination. This position offers the opportunity to ensure safety and performance standards across multiple vessels.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with PDAs/FDAs and Q88/HVPQ.
  • Knowledge of laytime and vessel performance monitoring.

Job description
  • Coordinate agency appointments, review the PDAs and FDAs for Owner needs.
  • Interface with ship manager, charterers, agents and vessels regarding voyage orders, vessel itineraries etc.
  • Coordinate with ship manager and control of updates Q88/HVPQ records.
  • Monitor vessel movements and performances.
  • Provide guidance and support to vessels on operational, compliance, and safety matters.
  • Coordinate with ship manager, charterers, brokers for proper planning of bunker supplies and coordination with bunker suppliers.
  • Attend the vessels to oversee maintenance and compliance to Owner and safety standards.
  • Perform & maintain records for the voyage expenses and verify bills received from agents and any third parties.
  • Support Charterers for port information inquiries for prospective vessel’s employment.
  • Guide postfix team to calculate voyage laytime, ensure chart-hire and freight are correctly calculated, and verify accuracy of all invoices before sending to Accounts department to settle.
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned vessels, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years’ experience in vessel or shipping operations.
  • Familiar with voyage planning, PDAs/FDAs, Q88/HVPQ and port procedures.
  • Knowledge of laytime, bunker coordination and vessel performance monitoring.
  • Experience with IMOS/Veslink, Dataloy or similar maritime operations systems will be an advantage.
