Job description

Overview

We are looking for a Vessel Accountant to join one of our global shipping clients. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of accounting experience, particularly in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL). You’ll be part of a dynamic, international environment where independence and teamwork go hand-in-hand.

Responsibilities

• Handle AP/AR/GL, vessel reports, and monthly schedules.
• Verify and reconcile accounting transactions with supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and balance sheet schedules.
• Process invoice entries (including intercompany transactions).
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and manage supplier payments.
• Prepare monthly vessel expense reports.
• Support other accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years in accounting, preferably in maritime/logistics
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting ERP systems
• Accounting experience from Maritime/ shipping or ship management industry is preferred
