Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Venture Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and support high-potential technology companies within a fast-growing digital innovation ecosystem. This role requires a strategic operator who can engage senior startup leaders, conduct rigorous commercial and operational assessments, and contribute to long-term ecosystem growth through strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage strong sourcing channels to identify high-potential technology startups and growth-stage companies.
  • Engage founders and senior leadership to assess strategic fit, business readiness, and growth potential.
  • Lead end-to-end commercial, financial, operational, and technical due diligence in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to surface, assess, and mitigate programme and company risks.
  • Serve as a key relationship manager to C-suite leaders of portfolio companies, tracking progress and identifying strategic opportunities.
  • Support companies in refining growth strategies, preparing for investor engagement, forming partnerships, and increasing market visibility.
  • Collaborate with industry players, ecosystem partners, and public-sector stakeholders to develop impactful initiatives.
  • Contribute to management reporting, planning, and performance tracking at a senior leadership level.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the ICT or technology industry across areas such as partner management, pre-sales, consulting, or venture support.
  • Or minimum 3 years exposure to venture capital, corporate innovation labs, consulting, or startup ecosystems is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of modern digital technologies such as: Artificial Intelligence/Generative AI, Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Web3 / Metaverse.
  • Commercially savvy with a structured approach to business evaluation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives.
  • Highly self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Well-connected within Singapore’s technology, startup, or innovation ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
