This position is critical for leadership, productivity, efficiency, profitability and the other key performance indicators of the Company. He/she also provides overall leadership on Quality, Health, Safety & Environment within the Value Streams.
Roles & Responsibilities
- To maintain a complete & up-to-date understanding of what the customer values.
- To lead & organise the relevant internal Value Stream organisation in the delivery of customer value in a Lean and efficient manner using Policy Deployment for continuous improvement.
- To delivering what the customer (internal & external) values by efficiently utilizing resources & adhering to Lean principles.
- To take responsibility for value stream gross margins, working capital and overall Value Stream performance.
- To optimise utilisation and efficiency of equipment and resources in conjunction with other Value Streams.
- In conjunction with SafranLS SGS middle management team organization, develop the Lean capabilities and improve overall performance across the Business to deliver Group targets.
- In conjunction with the Sales and Business Development functions, to identify and exploit the business opportunities to add value for customers.
- To support other SafranLS SGS value streams and company stakeholders including the wider Safran International network.
- Engineering graduate (or equivalent) combined with relevant and significant industrial management experience.
Professional Experience
- A comprehensive understanding of the MRO sector and relevant industrial methodologies, best practices & compliance requirements.
- A thorough knowledge of Lean principles tools and techniques coupled with a proven track record of successful deployment and sustained implementation.
- Demonstrable people development, leadership, coaching and team development skills.
- Strong commercial and business acumen, highly numerate and comfortable with management accounting / reporting and a proven track record of developing relevant investment proposals and the supporting analyses.
- Conversant with contemporary methodologies / systems for planning and effectively executing a Lean production plan.
- Ability to develop the Value Stream organisation in line with the need to enhance customer value & deliver budgeted performance.
