Job description

The Valuation Lead works within a team to optimize the Power Generation portfolio, providing expert analysis and guidance across economic, commercial, and financial workstreams. This highly independent role requires specialist expertise in evaluating complex and integrated, project-financed opportunities and working across the functions and regions, with insights that directly influence strategic decisions at the leadership level.

Key responsibilities include advising on project evaluation, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, delivering high-quality investment analysis, modeling and optimizing financing strategies, managing risk and uncertainty, supporting project management, including the trading optionalities and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Technical skills and competencies:
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation of complex and integrated renewable generation projects including acquisitions, divestments and business development
  • Extensive experience in opportunity framing and decision analysis
  • Strong analytical skills in risk quantification and uncertainty analysis, including probabilistic modelling using monte carlo or relevant simulation
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, power markets and energy trading
  • Experience with project finance, funding structures, and asset valuation
  • Proficiency in modelling, assurance, investment analysis and portfolio optimization
