Job summary

Orion Group Life Sciences is recruiting a Utilities Technician for a multinational biopharmaceutical client based in Tuas. This initial contract runs until the end of 2026, with a potential to extend.

The role involves operating and maintaining utility systems, boilers, compressors, chillers, AHUs, and related equipment, with emphasis on cGMP and EHS compliance. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• NITEC, ITE or Diploma in Engineering required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in pharma, chemical, process manufacturing or related industries.
• Basic understanding of cGMP and EHS requirements preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine operation, monitoring and planned maintenance of utility systems under supervision.
• Support the operation and maintenance of boilers, compressors, chillers, cooling towers and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of utility systems.
• Complete maintenance documentation in accordance with cGMP and EHS procedures.
• Support the Utilities team in maintaining the safe and reliable operation of site utilities.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Utilities team.
