Qualifications

  • Broad cross-domain knowledge in process plant systems and equipment.
  • Prior technical knowledge in gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plants is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Warranty Claims Management

  • Process and validate warranty claims for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Facilitate communication between clients and contractors on claim resolution.
  • Track warranty periods and submit claims to vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain detailed records of claims, statuses, costs and recoveries.
  • Produce regular reports on warranty trends, supplier performance and cost recovery.
  • Ensure warranty processes comply with contracts and industry standards.

Technical Investigation

  • Lead on-site fact-finding and technical investigations into warranty claims and produce regular analysis reports.
  • Consult internal engineering teams and external suppliers on equipment defects and failure analysis.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and partners to gather operational data and root cause insights.

Vendor and Supplier Coordination

  • Liaise with factories, third-party suppliers and vendors to diagnose defects and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate vendor site visits, access procedures and permits for work.
  • Lead cost-recovery negotiations and enforce warranty compliance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and expedite recurring issues.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify issues in the warranty process, analyze root causes, and implement improvements.
  • Review warranty data to pinpoint equipment or process design flaws and recommend solutions to engineering teams or external partners.
  • Support reliability engineering efforts with internal teams or external partners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, commissioning, warranty, maintenance, or reliability engineering in the process plant or power generation sector.
  • Broad cross-domain (Mechanical, instrumentation, controls, electrical) knowledge in process plant systems and equipment.
  • Prior technical knowledge and skills in gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plants or open cycle gas turbine (OCGT) power plants is preferred.
  • Strong in communication and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with RCA tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Proficient in MS Office and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo).
