The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/M&E Facilities Engineer to join our client's team. This critical role will play a pivotal part in overseeing the engineering operations and maintenance of our client's assets, ensuring their efficient and reliable performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (M&E) systems within the client's facilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and lifespan

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with building systems and equipment

• Oversee and coordinate the work of external contractors and service providers

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

• Analyze energy consumption data and implement efficiency measures to reduce costs and environmental impact

• Provide technical expertise and support for renovation, alteration, and addition (A&A) projects

• Mentor and train junior engineering personnel to develop their skills and knowledge

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as a M&E Facilities Engineer, preferably in a campus or educational facilities setting

• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and building automation

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions

• Strong project management and coordination capabilities, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, BMS, and CMMS

• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
