Job description

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee ship repair projects from initiation to completion, ensuring resources are efficiently allocated and tasks are completed within the planned schedule.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare comprehensive repair plans, covering scope of work, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all project activities and update the Commercial department on additional or variation works performed.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive customer satisfaction and foster repeat business opportunities.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project, providing timely status updates and addressing inquiries or concerns.
• Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of tools, materials, and equipment needed for repairs.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Oversee planned maintenance for yard facilities and equipment utilized in repair projects.

Requirements

• Possess a Class 1 (COC) Marine Engineer certification or a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in ship repair management, ideally within a shipyard or maritime setting.
• Demonstrated project management expertise, with a successful track record of delivering ship repair projects on schedule and within budget.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices in ship repair.
• Skilled in using shipyard-related software and project management systems.
• Experienced in leading, supervising, and evaluating team members.
