A multinational company in Japan is seeking candidates for an entry-level position focusing on product design and development. Responsibilities include creating specifications and designs, providing mechanical support to the production line, and managing cost-saving projects. Candidates should have experience in mechanical design and proficiency in 3D design software like Solidworks. On-job training is provided, and a normal workweek consists of 5 days with regular office hours.

Location: Bedok South, East Region
Create functional specifications and electrical, mechanical, or firmware designs.
Design prototypes and evaluate them to prepare evaluation reports.
Use 3D design software like Solidworks.
Provide mechanical support to the production line to resolve product failures.
Modify assembly processes, work instructions, and materials.
Design jigs and other tools to assist in manufacturing.
Manage cost-saving projects by researching cheaper or better-performing parts.
Handle vendor communication for component selection, specifications, and certifications (e.g., ROHS).
Participate in projects like modifying existing products to improve them.
Experience with mechanical design, especially 3D design software like Solidworks.
Proficiency in mechanical and lab testing, including vibration, temperature rise, and IPX tests.
Knowledge of materials science and component specifications.
