Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a process engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and 2-5 years of experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing. Responsibilities include conducting failure analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and applying process improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to ensure high yield, quality, and productivity.
• Perform process characterization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, Equipment, and Quality) to support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer.
• Establish and maintain process control systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions for process deviations or equipment-related issues.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement process improvements using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
• Evaluate and qualify new materials, tools, and process technologies.
• Support cost reduction, yield improvement, and equipment utilization projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related discipline).
• 2–5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or precision engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering principles, SPC, DOE, and FMEA.
• Hands-on experience with production tools, equipment troubleshooting, and process validation.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma will be an advantage.
