Job summary

A renowned recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer with experience in PLC and SCADA systems. The role involves managing automation projects, control system design, and providing technical support in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC and Gold certification with Ignition is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automation projects.
• Experienced in process control applications in FMCG/F&B environments.
• Gold certification with Ignition is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Execution & management of automation projects ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and within budget.
• Responsible for control system design, specifications, programming, testing, and start up assistance.
• Implement PLC, SCADA & DCS code modifications under change control.
• Investigate and provide technical advice and support to manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.
• Support operations with responses to technical queries.
• Partner with different disciplines to deliver projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Must be experienced in Siemens S7 PLC & HMI programming with Simatic Manager, TIA Portal and WinCC, and either Wonderware, Citect Plant SCADA or Ignition.
• Exposure to Schneider-Electric Modicon Quantum with ProWORX 32 or experience in project implementations with ABB 800xA is also highly desired.
• Exposure to Intellution iFIX or FIX32 will be an added advantage.
• Must be experienced in process control applications in FMCG and/or F&B manufacturing environments.
• SCADA experience and Gold certification with Ignition is big plus.
• Flexibility to support customers during off-hours.
