Job summary

National University of Singapore (NUS), located at Kent Ridge Campus, is seeking a Research Assistant in Biological Sciences to support CNCS projects on nature-based solutions. You will help shape research design and contribute to publications while coordinating field activities and analyses.

You will work across the full project lifecycle, coordinate urban restoration efforts, and support multiple CNCS initiatives with a lean team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography or a related field.
• Experience with GIS and data visualization is advantageous.
• Strong data analysis using R.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day coordination of the urban microforest programme, keeping timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders on track
• Contribute actively to the research design and scientific direction of microforest and related NBS projects
• Co-author and contribute to scientific papers, technical reports, and knowledge outputs
• Conduct spatial and quantitative analysis using GIS tools and R
• Bring fresh, creative ideas to strengthen and advance our microforest research agenda
• Support other projects across the centre as needed
