Job description

• 3 months (renewable based on performance and business needs)

• S$14.00 per hour + S$5 per hour (WFH Allowance)

• Fully Work from Home (within SG Region)

• 5 days across Monday to Sunday

• 8 hours shift between 9pm to 9am (based on roster)

• Stable Home WiFi (cable modem, DSL, fibre optics)

• Smartphone, iPad or laptop (either one will do, Huawei & Kaspersky is prohibited)

Job Requirements

• Fluent in both English & Mandarin to provide the translation service for US and China stakeholders.

• Remain neutral and calm during audio interpreting sessions in the event that one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset, especially in emergency situations such as 911 calls, end of life conversations, pregnancy termination, vaccinations, and matters concerning sexual orientation.

• Exhibit excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to ensure a high level of accuracy in interpretations.

• Provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation and is prepared for challenging calls at any time.

• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.

• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation, enunciation and polite expressions.

• Able to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client
