Job summary

NCS Group is offering an internship to support the development and enhancement of enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. You will work alongside experienced developers and business analysts to deliver practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Join a hands-on team and gain exposure to system design, testing, UAT support, and project documentation while building skills in low-code platforms, APIs, and web technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing studies in a Computer Science/Engineering/IT related field.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (OutSystems, Mendix) is advantageous.
• Exposure to Java or JavaScript is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of databases, APIs, and web technologies.
• Strong written and spoken English communication; detail-oriented and proactive.

Job Description

The intern will contribute to meaningful digital transformation initiatives by supporting the development and enhancement of enterprise applications using the OutSystems low-code platform.

Key Projects Include

• Application Development & Enhancement: Participate in designing, developing, and testing application modules for enterprise or government systems, translating business requirements into functional low-code solutions.
• System Integration Activities: Support end-to-end solution alignment by collaborating with cross-functional teams on system integration and technical discussions.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Assist in system testing activities and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth UAT execution.
• Post-Implementation Support: Help resolve defects, investigate errors, and support system maintenance activities to ensure optimal application performance in production.
• Documentation & Governance: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including requirement specifications, test cases, and user manuals, in accordance with established standards.

This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world application development in a fast-paced environment, working alongside experienced developers and business analysts to deliver impactful solutions for our clients.

What You’ll Do

• Analyse functional and technical requirements and translate them into application design using the OutSystems platform.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain application components in accordance with NCS standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with system analysts, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to support project delivery activities.
• Participate in system integration activities and technical discussions to ensure solution alignment.
• Support system testing, including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Investigate and fix reported problems or bugs to ensure smooth execution in production.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and artefacts required for delivery and governance.
• Participate in up‑skilling workshops and courses as required by the Project Manager.
• Ensure all code and deliverables comply with security guidelines and best practices.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and learnings with the team regularly.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of software development concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, Mendix) is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or similar is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of databases, APIs, and web technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
