Position Overview

You will work closely with our AI research team and clinical advisors to label and annotate lower-limb venous ultrasound examinations using Cygnus Med’s internal annotation platform. This role is crucial for improving the accuracy and robustness of our AI-CHIVA software.

This position is suitable for medical students, biomedical engineering students, sonography students, or candidates with experience in ultrasound imaging.

Training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Annotate lower-limb venous ultrasound images and video loops using our proprietary annotation tools
  • Identify and label anatomical structures such as:
    • Great and small saphenous veins (GSV/SSV)
    • Tributaries and perforators
    • Deep venous segments
    • Reflux points (escape points) and re-entry points
  • Ensure annotation consistency and accuracy based on CHIVA hemodynamic principles
  • Review and refine labels according to feedback from vascular surgeons
  • Maintain clear documentation of annotation batches and progress
  • Work with the AI engineering team to report technical issues or areas for improvement in the platform
Requirements
  • Experience in medical imaging, ultrasound, or vascular anatomy
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured annotation guidelines
  • Ability to commit at least 16-25 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in clinical research, diagnostic ultrasound, or regulated healthcare data environments;
  • Training in anatomy, physiology, biomedical engineering, or related disciplines
  • Familiarity with varicose vein evaluations or venous anatomy
  • Experience with any medical annotation tools or radiology platforms

Location & Work Arrangement

This role is primarily based onsite at our office near Buona Vista, Singapore.
