Job summary

ST Engineering in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Engineer for Data Operations and Annotation at Aero – 540 Airport Road. The role supports the data lifecycle for DA, VA, CV and ML projects by collecting, labeling and quality-checking UAS and sensor datasets to prepare them for model development.

You will organize datasets, maintain metadata, perform first-level quality checks and release traceable dataset packages for training, evaluation and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Experience with large image/video datasets and metadata handling.
• Familiarity with data annotation tools and guidelines.
• Ability to follow data-handling procedures and naming conventions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and ingest image, video, telemetry and sensor data from UAS platforms and related equipment.
• Record and maintain metadata including data source, conditions, platform and sensor configuration.
• Organize raw, annotated and training datasets with proper version control and access procedures.
• Coordinate data annotation using approved taxonomies and guidelines.
• Perform first-level checks for missing files, corrupted data and annotation errors.
• Prepare traceable dataset packages for model training, evaluation and demonstrations.
