Job description

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with young learners and work with a professional development team committed to working with people. The candidate will have the ability to demonstrate organizational, presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-on-one and group classes and adapting teaching methods to engage and support students with different learning styles and abilities.
  • Creating detailed lesson plans that outline the objectives, instructional methods, activities, and assessments for each class.
  • Designing and administering assessments (quizzes, tests, projects) to evaluate student progress.
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback on student work and assigning grades.
  • Establishing and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment that promotes learning.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, educational research, and new teaching technologies.
  • Maintaining open and regular communication with the class consultants to keep them informed about student progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
  • Collaborating with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to improve the overall educational experience and support students with diverse needs.
