Job summary

The Salvation Army’s Re:Nue division in Singapore is seeking a delivery driver to transport donated items to thrift stores and other locations. You will load and unload goods, conduct safety checks, and ensure timely deliveries in coordination with the Supervisor.

Ideal candidates have a Class 4 driving licence and 1–2 years truck driving experience, with familiarity of Singapore roads and the ability to lift up to 20 kg. Weekends and public holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 4 Singapore Driving Licence.
• 1–2 years truck driving experience preferred.
• Familiar with Singapore roads and regulations.
• Ability to perform daily vehicle checks.
• Physically fit to lift up to 20 kg.
• Good time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform driving duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Load and unload donated items at collection points and deliver to stores or other locations.
• Assist in clearing donation bins when required.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections for roadworthiness and safety.
• Maintain vehicle checklists, mileage logs and records.
• Adhere to traffic rules, safety protocols and operations guidelines.
• Report vehicle issues or delays to Supervisor promptly.

Job Description

• Perform assigned driving duties as directed by the Supervisor, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
• Load and unload donated items safely at designated collection points and deliver them to Thrift Stores, Centres, or other assigned locations.
• Assist in clearing donation bins at various locations when required.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain and update necessary vehicle checklists, mileage logs, and records for accountability.
• Adhere to traffic regulations, workplace safety protocols, and operational guidelines to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Report any vehicle issues, delays, or operational challenges to the Supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Skills & Competencies:

• Possess a valid Class 4 Singapore Driving Licence.
• At least 1-2 years of truck driving experience in logistics or delivery operations preferred.
• Familiarity with Singapore roads and traffic regulations.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver trucks in various road conditions.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to perform daily checks and ensure roadworthiness.
• Physical fitness with the ability to handle and lift items up to 20kg for extended periods.
• Good time management and reliability to meet collection and delivery schedules.
• Able to speak and write simple English to communicate with team members and complete documentation.
