Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte Ltd is seeking a research professional to support its fixed income investment research platform. You will cover macroeconomics and microeconomics for Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and India, and lead to identify potential investment targets.

You will provide timely reports on macro data releases and key events, support internal stress-testing, and conduct in-depth fundamental analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics/statistics/finance or related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to perform data/statistical analysis/econometric modelling.
• Familiar with Excel macros and Bloomberg.

Responsibilities

• Support fixed income investment research platform and provide timely reports.
• Cover macroeconomic and microeconomic research for Australia, New Zealand and SEA (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India).
• Ensure accurate responses to macro data releases and key economic/political events.
• Support bank business units and internal requirements such as stress tests.
• Conduct deep-dive fundamental analyses to generate reports on quantitative and qualitative information.
• Identify new sectors and asset classes for investment.
• Occasionally travel for business trips.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as required.

Responsibilities

• Primary Objective: Involve in supporting the company's fixed income investment research platform.

• Macroeconomics and Microeconomics research coverage and forecasts of corporates within Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia Countries which are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India and leads to identify possible investment targets.

• Ensure accurate and timely response/reports on relevant topic including the release of macroeconomic data and key economic/political events.

• Provide support to Bank's business units and internal requirements such as stress tests.

• Deep dive, fundamental analysis into said targets to generate reports on quantitative and qualitative information.

• Identify new sectors and asset classes for investment.

• Occasionally travel for business trip is required.

• Any other ad-hoc assignment as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in economics/statistics/finance.

• Preferably 3-5 years of related experience in Banking Industry.

• Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to perform intermediate to advance level of data/statistical analysis/econometric modelling.

• Familiar with tools such as excel macros and Bloomberg.

• Ability to communicate effectively with the senior management is desired.

• Report writing and data presentation are required.

• Competency in creating financial models, cash flow and balance sheet analysis.

• Must be able to work under stress and in a team environment locally.
