Job summary

Thunes is seeking a Treasury Officer in Singapore to join the Treasury team and support international cash and liquidity management, cashflow forecasting and FX activities. The role reports to the Treasury Manager and works with teams in Singapore, Beijing, Barcelona, Athens, Nairobi and Ecuador.

Key responsibilities include daily funding, FX conversions, payment processing and reconciliations, and collaboration with product and development teams to optimize systems and procedures for scalable

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a Treasury or similar role with a focus on FX trade execution and processing.
• Solid understanding of FX global financial markets and fundamentals.
• Experience with FX trading systems and performing trade analysis.
• Familiarity with cross-border payments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liquidity Management: Prepare and execute daily funding wires and FX conversions; handle inward and outward payment processing; reconcile activity; resolve remittance issues; support projects.
• FX Execution & Partnerships: Manage end-to-end FX execution for pay-in/out; book and reconcile trades; monitor costs; collaborate with product/dev teams.

Context of the role

The Treasury team is responsible for all aspects of International Cash & Liquidity Management, Cashflow forecasting, Working Capital management and Foreign Exchange. The Treasury department is a friendly team-based environment that values interaction and exchange of ideas and knowledge.

The Treasury Officer role is based in the Singapore office, reporting to the Treasury Manager, and working closely with the rest of the team in Singapore, Beijing, Barcelona, Athens, Nairobi and Ecuador.

Position, purpose & key responsibilities

• Liquidity Management
  
  
  
  • Prepare and execute daily funding wires and FX conversions in a timely and accurate manner.
  
  
  • Handle the end-to-end processing of inward and outward payment transactions.
  
  
  • Ensure data accuracy by performing daily reconciliations of all trading and settlement activity.
  
  
  • Investigate and resolve payment issues and inquiries related to remittance instructions and non-receipt of funds.
  
  
  • Support business improvement initiatives and participate in ad-hoc projects to enhance treasury operations.
  
  

• FX Execution & Partnerships
  
  
  
  • Manage the end-to-end FX execution process, handling G10 and emerging market currencies for both pay‑in and pay‑out partners.
  
  
  • Confirm credit of funds, release transactions, and book and reconcile executed trades daily to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  
  
  • Monitor FX costs and partner pricing agreements to maintain adherence and identify opportunities for improvement.
  
  
  • Work closely with product and development teams to optimize the trading desk's systems and procedures, ensuring a scalable model and an excellent user experience.
  
  
  • Assess global FX market conditions and identify new banking and FX partners to improve costs and liquidity.
  
  

Experience & Technical Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in a Treasury or similar role with a focus on FX trade execution and processing.


• Solid understanding of FX global financial markets and fundamentals.


• Experience with FX trading systems and performing trade analysis.


• Familiarity with cross-border payments is a plus.
