The Travel Sales Manager is responsible for leading the travel sales team and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies, client relationship management, and business development. The role involves promoting travel products and services, managing corporate and retail client accounts, and ensuring that all travel sales operations align with company goals and industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets for the travel division.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to meet individual and departmental goals.
  • Manage key corporate and retail client accounts, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including B2B and B2C partnerships.
  • Promote and sell travel packages, air tickets, hotels, cruises, and tour services.
  • Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other partners to negotiate competitive rates and service agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Handle high-value client inquiries and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and present sales performance reports and forecasts to management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional campaigns and travel fairs.
  • Ensure all sales transactions comply with STB (Singapore Tourism Board), airline, and company policies.
  • Manage travel documentation and ensure accuracy in bookings, invoicing, and follow-ups.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Diploma or Degree in Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in travel sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team leader role.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing corporate travel accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of global destinations, airlines, hotels, and travel products.
  • Proficient in travel booking systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms.
  • Familiar with STB travel agency licensing and MOM compliance requirements in Singapore.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines during peak seasons.
  • Class 3 Driving Licence (advantage).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Full-time position, based in the travel agency or corporate office.
  • Working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday); may include weekends or evenings during promotions or peak seasons.
  • Work location: Travel agency office or client premises (as required).
  • Occasional overseas travel for trade shows, conferences, or partnership meetings.
