The AWS APAC transportation team seeks a highly skilled and motivated Transportation Manager with a background in transport operations and logistics to manage day-to-day operations for one of the fastest-growing industries worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to join an agile and driven team while ensuring the highest standards of services and safety compliance.

Key job responsibilities
  • VENDOR MANAGEMENT
    • Act as point of escalation for transportation vendor related issues
    • Manage vendor operational excellence through data driven metrics
    • Implement and execute transportation strategies that support short and long term goals
  • AUTOMATION ENHANCEMENT
    • Influence internal technical teams to drive multi-system process changes
    • Provide scalable solutions for continued growth
    • Set project requirements and drive agendas across internal and external teams
A day in the life
  • Daily tactical communication with external vendors (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers on operational and safety matters
  • Work with multiple stakeholder teams to develop and implement new best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement in the operational environment internally and externally
  • Ensure compliance with standards and regulations across transportation operations

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration, or operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization and logistics or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications
    • 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience
    • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies
