Job Scope / Responsibilities:
1️⃣ Transport Planning & Coordination
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily transport schedules and delivery routes.
- Coordinate with warehouse, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Manage both chilled and dry cargo transportation operations.
2️⃣ Fleet & Resource Management
- Supervise fleet utilization, maintenance, fuel usage, and vehicle servicing schedules.
- Ensure vehicles comply with LTA, SFA, and NEA regulations (for cold-chain logistics).
- Monitor GPS tracking systems and vehicle performance to reduce downtime.
3️⃣ Team Management
- Lead and supervise drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse assistants.
- Conduct regular briefings, performance reviews, and training on SOPs and safety.
- Schedule manpower for day and night shifts efficiently.
4️⃣ Customer & Delivery Operations
- Liaise with clients to plan deliveries according to service agreements.
- Monitor delivery KPIs (on‑time delivery, delivery accuracy, customer feedback).
- Resolve operational issues such as delays, shortages, or cargo discrepancies.
5️⃣ Cost Control & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze transport cost reports (fuel, overtime, maintenance).
- Optimize cost efficiency through route planning and resource allocation.
- Support monthly billing, invoicing, and driver commission summaries.
6️⃣ Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with company policies and government regulations.
- Oversee vehicle insurance, driver license renewals, and safety inspections.
- Investigate accidents or non‑compliance issues and implement preventive measures.
7️⃣ Continuous Improvement
- Review transport workflows to improve productivity and service quality.
- Implement digital tools (Google Sheets, GPS, or ERP systems) for tracking and reporting.
- Propose process enhancements to management for smoother daily operations.
Requirements (Optional Section)
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transport or cold‑chain logistics operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, route planning tools, and reporting systems.
