The Movement Studio PTE. LTD. is seeking a new trainee for our early years team in Singapore.

You will start part-time teaching children aged 18 months to 6 at partner preschools, schools, and our studio, with curriculum and lesson plans provided and training to teach them well. You’ll take on more classes over time and have the opportunity to move into a full-time position. Qualifications

• Background in dance, music, drama, or movement-based activity.
• Strong English (spoken and written) for school staff and parents.
• Willingness to travel to partner schools and the studio around Singapore.
• Willing to work one day on weekends.
• Willing to complete a background check and safeguarding training.

Responsabilités

• Teach classes from the curriculum at partner preschools, schools, and the studio.
• Maintain safety and engagement with routines and a clear voice.
• Support children in coordination, rhythm, listening, and confidence growth.
• Be the friendly face of The Movement Studio at centres; liaise with principals and teachers; assist with showcases and graduation events.
• Record attendance and class notes for teams and parents.
• Attend termly teacher trainings and assist with holiday programmes and camps.

The role

A new trainee role in our early years team. You'll start part-time, teaching children aged 18 months to 6 at our partner preschools and schools and at our studio, and take on more classes as you grow, with the opportunity to move into a full-time position. You don't need to write lessons: we give you our curriculum and lesson plans and train you to teach them well.

What you'll do

• Teach fun, structured classes from our curriculum, with your music, props and energy ready to go.
• Keep little ones safe, engaged and happy: clear routines, a voice they can hear, gentle encouragement for shy dancers and positive outlets for big energy.
• Help children grow in coordination, rhythm, listening and confidence.
• Be the friendly face of TMS at each centre: build good relationships with principals and teachers, follow their routines and safeguarding procedures, and help with showcases and graduation concerts.
• Keep our team in the loop with attendance, class notes and anything a centre or parent should know.
• Join our termly teacher training, help with holiday programmes and camps, and share ideas to make our programme even better.

What you bring

• A background in dance, music, drama, musical theatre or another movement- or rhythm-based activity. No syllabus training needed: if you have rhythm and a willingness to learn, we'll teach you our moves.
• Good spoken and written English, and a friendly, professional manner with school staff and parents.
• Able to travel to our partner schools around Singapore and to our studio.
• Able to work one day on weekends.
• Willing to complete a background check and any safeguarding training our partner schools require.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching or working with young children (preschool, enrichment, studio or school)
• Early childhood training or certification (e.g. ECDA-recognised)
• A diploma or degree in dance, performing arts, music, drama, early childhood or a related field
• First aid certification (or willingness to get certified)

Fresh graduates and dance-adjacent backgrounds are welcome: we'll train and mentor you.
