Major Responsibilities:
- Service Operations
- - Ensure punctual train services and make adjustments to meet customer needs.
- - Report and address equipment faults, coordinating with relevant staff for quick recovery.
- - Manage track access and work possessions according to rules and procedures during traffic and non-traffic hours.
- Safety and Compliance
- - Maintain a safe environment for customers, staff, and contractors.
- - Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
- - Enforce transit rules and report non-compliance.
- Procedures and Improvements
- - Review, develop, and improve procedures, manuals, and local instructions.
- - Provide feedback on train timetables and develop new ones when required.
- Staff Training and Mentoring
- - Mentor and train new staff during on-the-job training at the Operations Control Centre.
Perform other duties as directed by his/ her superiors.
Requirements:
- Degree in any discipline or Diploma with minimum 5 years' working experience, preferably in an Operations Control Room environment
- Willing to perform shift work, including night shift, weekends and Public Holidays
- Ability to identify colours
- Able to operate computer-based control systems
