Job summary

AlphaGrep Pte. Ltd. seeks early career Traders to join their growing discretionary FX trading team in Singapore.

Our Discretionary Traders work in a concerted effort with other team members to meet personal profitability goals. Responsibilities include research, development and implementation of profitable discretionary trading models, strong mathematical and statistical analysis, and risk management to adapt to market dynamics across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree from top-tier institute.
• 2+ years of experience in electronic market-making (buy- and sell-side).
• Experience with data analysis, market research and data modelling.
• Strong communication and ability to work in teams, but also independently.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate opportunities in real-time.
• Self-starter with a competitive mindset and quick execution.
• FX experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to research, develop and implement profitable discretionary trading model or strategies.
• Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude
• Solid understanding of relevant market trends and developments, with a robust working knowledge of market dynamics of their chosen regions/coverage.
• Ability to manage risk and detailed knowledge of all risk procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters degree from Top tier institute
• 2+ years of experience in electronic market-making, both buy-side and sell-side
• Experience with Data Analysis, Market Research and Data Modelling
• An ability to communicate effectively and work well in teams but also be willing to work independently when needed
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and identify potential opportunities in real-time
• Natural problem-solver with an ability to execute quickly
• Exceptional product knowledge, trading methodology, and market insight
• Proven self-starter with a competitive personality and strong desire to succeed
• Experience in FX a plus
